How Stillpoint protects your journal

Stillpoint is designed so your private writing is processed and stored on your Windows computer—not sent to 1st Step Media for storage or AI processing.

What 1st Step Media does not receive

Your journal entries, moods, Mira conversations, and voice content are not transmitted to 1st Step Media.

01

Stored on your PC

Your Stillpoint content is kept locally and encrypted behind your PIN.

02

AI runs locally

Mira and voice-to-text run on your computer. They do not need a cloud AI service.

03

No journal account

You do not create a Stillpoint cloud account, and there is no journal-sync server.

04

No app telemetry

The app does not send usage analytics or your writing to 1st Step Media.

What does use the internet?

Those website, checkout, and email activities are separate from the private content inside the Stillpoint app. See the Privacy Policy for the customer and order information used to deliver purchases.

What local privacy cannot promise

No software should promise that a computer is invulnerable. Stillpoint cannot protect your data from someone who controls your Windows account, malware already on the computer, a lost or damaged drive, or a forgotten PIN without a usable backup. Keep Windows and your security software updated, use a strong Windows sign-in, and maintain a separate backup.

Verify the central claim yourself

Download the trial, open Stillpoint once, disconnect your internet connection, and use the journal, mood tools, Mira, and voice features. This Airplane Mode Challenge is the simplest way to experience the local-first design for yourself.
